Graacher Himmelreich

The name originates from the Celtic word for "small hill". Only much later, once the original sense of the word got lost, the name received its christian meaning - "kingdom of God". It also symbolizes the very high and exposed location of the vineyard itself. The Southwest exposed site produces very racy, hearty Rieslings with lots of body, which are grown on medium deep argillaceous schist.
