Bernkasteler Lay

The Bernkasteler Lay is another topvineyard not far from the Berncasteler Doctor. At its centrepiece, is a high-quality plot, planted with very old vines. From this fine weathered slate we harvest mostly very ripe grapes with a highly elegant and complex profile.

Wine Description         
A wonderful combination of exotic fruit…. starfruit, maracuja, papaya and apricots. Concentrated fruit, wonderful minerality and remarkable tartness - a triology at ist best. Extreme storage and aging potential. 

Food affinities  
Blue and goat cheeses, all kind of desserts and last not least very, very spicy curries.
